Based on the 1959 novella by Philip Roth. Ali McGraw's film debut. Arnold Schulman received an Academy Award nomination for his screenplay.

Title page present, dated February 13, 1968, noted as Final Draft, with credits for screenwriter Arnold Schulman and novelist Philip Roth. 130 leaves, with last page of text numbered 129. Mimeograph duplication on eye-rest green stock. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound internally with two gold brads.

Synopsis

Goodbye, Columbus (1959) is the title of the first book published by the American novelist Philip Roth, a collection of six stories. In addition to its title novella, set in New Jersey, Goodbye, Columbus contains the five short stories "The Conversion of the Jews," "Defender of the Faith," "Epstein," "You Can't Tell a Man by the Song He Sings," and "Eli, the Fanatic.
