New York: D.Van Nostrand, 1900. Book. VG+. Cloth. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Second Edition, Revised , so stated. 185 pp. plus two pp. of ads at rear. Rust brown cloth with gilt digging tools on frontand gilt tiles to the spine. This copy is VG+. Exterior is clean and rich. Minimal rubbing to tips /spine ends . Inside has PO signature dated 1904 in pencil ( looks very erasable). Otherwise unmarked, crisp, and tightly bound with modest/even toning. "With a glossary of the names of rocks and of other lithological terms ." " This second edition is largely unchanged to the text , however the Glossary was rewritten and brought up to date." Neat and trim..
