"Remarque has woven more than a story; he has fashioned a fabric of love and loss, of vainglory and victory, in which to some deogree we are all clothed. 302 pp. By the author of, 'All Quiet on the Western Front'. Blue boards have white text with title in silver gilt on spine only. Spine ends rubbed, no markings, book is tight and square. Priceclipped DJ is chipped with some tears and is missing a piece 5 1/2' X 2 1/2" from the bottom of the front panel. The rose and the mountain remain, however. Bookseller's inventory # 122509.

Synopsis

Heaven Has No Favorites is a novel by a famous German writer Erich Maria Remarque. This novel is a story about the passion and love in the background of automobile racing. The novel was serialized in the Hamburg magazine "Kristall" in 1959 under the title Borrowed Life, and first published in book form in 1961.
