Illustrated with two hundred and thirty- two original illustrations by W.C.Shepard. First Edition with matching dates to Title and CR pages. This copy is NEAR FINE. Exterior with only minor rubbing to extremities, slightly crimped spine ends, and gilt lettering modestly rubbed. Inside has neat PO signature, Dr. Henry Beales, to front paste down. Firmly bound with scattered underlining/notes to the first third of the book.SCARCE, only U.S. copy on Abe as of November 2022..
