Red cloth spine is sunnded with dull gilt titles under grey cloth boards with gilt bands and beautiful gilt seal. 235 toned pages with sections of glossy black and white photographs. Frontispiece. Some uneven areas to gray cloth on back cover. Dusty top. Howard Bevis was president of Ohio State University in the 1940s and 1950s and Bevis Hall on the OSU campus is named for him. Howard Bevis' refusal to place a limit on students wishing to enrolled under the GI bill more than doubled the size of Ohio State's enrollment in 1946/1947. We have another copy of this volume.
