1849. Lithograph. 325mm by 210mm (image) 490mm by 320mm (sheet). 'Robert, Peintre de Ruine.' The toning area appears original - i have seen other copies with exactly the same effect. Hubert Robert (1733-1808) was a French painter noted for his landscape paintings and capriccio of ruins in Italy and France. CONDITION : Toned area slightly uneven. Scattered foxing at the edges of the sheet. A couple of small faint creases.
