Terence was a 2nd-century BC Roman playwright who is most remembered for his comedies. His six plays, which all survive, were composed after he was freed from slavery. Published in 1651, this Latin edition was edited by Daniel Heinsius with annotations by Thomas Farnaby, and includes each of works of Terence:
• Andria (The Girl from Andros)
• Hecyra (The Mother-in-Law)
• Heauton Timorumenos (The Self-Tormentor)

Description:
1675 Pliny the Younger Panegyricus Emperors Trajan & Domitian ROME Military Pliny the Younger, one of the most notable 1st-century historians, is best remembered for his written works and orations. His best-known, and still widely popular work is his 'Epistles', which was a series of personal letters to other Roman figures. They give an important view of Roman everyday life as well as an interesting perspective on Pliny's views against Christianity.
In addition to his letters, Pliny is remembered by his only known oration – 'Panegyricus'. 'Panegyricus' was a speech given to the Senate describing Emperor Trajan, his administrative actions, views on justice, military discipline, and commerce. He compares Trajan to other figures most notably Emperor Domitian. This 1675 edition was published in Lugduni Batavorum by Hackiana and includes notes and annotations by Dominique Baudius.

A compilation of Quarles' works. The overall title page with details of the publisher is missing, but there is a dedication to King Charles I which was clearly specially written for the work, which makes it likely that it was published in the 1630's (it makes no reference to Civil War). Each work has a separate title page or a large heading, and retains the dedications etc written when they were first published. The first text is 'A Feast for Worms' totalling 64 pages, which has a note for the Reader and has pages 13-36 misbound out of sequence. The second is Pentelogia, a short text covering pp 65-70. The third is Hadassa with a separate title page, preface to the Reader, introduction, dedication, and the History of Esther, running to p 147. The fourth is Job Militant with half title page, proposition, dedication and text running to p 231.
