London: Arthur Barker, 1952. First Edition - British. Signed and inscribed by the author, Mickey Spillane, on the title page. Inscribed: “To Richard Clark, a big hello from Mike Hammer and me! This is where it all got started - now enjoy the action - again! Mickey Spillane, June 8, 1999.” A used and lightly worn copy with some minor spotting to the cloth and rubbing to the lettering at the spine in an excellent facsimile dust jacket. The first Mike Hammer novel, a hardboiled detective fiction classic.
