Anne Inez McCaffrey (1926 - 2011) was an American-born writer who emigrated to Ireland and was best known for the Dragonriders of Pern fantasy series. She was the first woman to win a Hugo Award for fiction and the first to win a Nebula Award. In 2005 the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America named McCaffrey its 22nd Grand Master. She also received the Robert A. Heinlein Award in 2007. Cloth in FINE CONDITION! Tight, bright, clean copy in a wonderfully illustrated bright dj! Slight wear to the head and foot of the dj's spine, a scratch to the front cover, and some spots to its spine.
