New York: Inkwell Press, 1992. Very Good. Edited by Vincent Torre. 32 cm; [5], 17, [1] leaves. Title page and text pages within colored borders with ornamental block printed in green. Bound in purple straight-grain brocaded silk with green pebbled leather backstrip titled in gilt; with green textured decorative paper endleaves backed with Fabriano, by Ruth Stein (unsigned). One of 45 copies printed on Stonehenge paper and signed by Torre. Few subtle but annoying stains on upper board. According to a note by Torre, these poems were not published until 1931, and are printed here for only the second time (the first time in a separate issue). Offered here in a fine hand-made binding.

Beveled beige paper covered boards show smudges and uniform staining from much handling. Joint starting about 2 inches from bottom. Mild bowing. All edges gilt. Previous owners' names on first free endpaper and title page. previous owner has made two small, fine sketches on rear pastedown. Semi-neatly inked date of 1900 appears to the right of the word "Remington" on the title page, written on it after the book was printed ---- not a publication date. Original exhibition catalog issued on the occasion of an exhibition of books containing illustrations by celebrated painter, engraver, publisher and illustrator Jean-Gabriel Daragnes - specifically, woodcuts. Illustrated with an original portrait etching of Daragnes by Andre Dunoyer de Segonzac, 11 black-and-white Daragnes plates, three depicting lesbian scenes, and an original Daragnes hand-colored engraving laid in showing a husband walking in on his wife in bed with her lover - a scene from Fielding's Tom Jones.
