Double gilt border & dentelles on covers. Marbled endpapers & edges dyed red. [ (xlvii) 430pp and (xiv) 431-708]. Joints cracked with covers firmly attached, gilt faded, spine ends rubbed with slight loss & corners rubbed. Interior hinges & text are tight, clean & intact. Illustrated with 36 folding engraved plates (13 for volume I and 23 for volume II) , as well as many inset tables and a nice vignette of Prévost at the head of the first preface. Forestry, Trees, Wood. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 708 pages .
