About This Item
Sofia: Bulgarski Khudozhnik. Kechko Uzunov; Liuben Ziarov. Quarto. 40p. Bulgarian Language. The Columbia Guide to the Literatures of Eastern Europe since 1945 notes that he was among the most popular Bulgarian writers especially with his telling of fairy tales. Often writers in the Soviet era found it safer to stay within genres aimed at children. The Great Soviet Encyclopedia hints of this in the article on his fame noting also he was given to "social contradictions". Although a later edition appeared in 2006, no copies of this 1966 edition are reported in OCLC. Laid in is a typed summary in English of the three stories. Bound in pictorial paper covered boards backed in yellow cloth, light wear to corners and edges. A very scarce item in very good condition.
