About This Item

Seattle: Scarecrow Video, 1997. Signed by Maurice Noble, the Production Designer and background artist for Bugs Bunny and other Warner Brothers cartoons. First edition / First printing. Full color poster. 19" x 24 Very fine. Chuck Jones referred to Noble as "the architect of our films." Noble started in animation at Disney. He worked on Snow White, The Rite of Spring sequence for Fantasia, and Dumbo. He designed the backgrounds and art direction for the award winning Bugs Bunny film: What's Opera Doc?, and the Daffy Duck film: Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century. He created the look of the Road Runner cartoons. After 1960 Noble received a co-directing credit on films with Chuck Jones, including the Oscar Winner: The Dot and the Line (based on the book by Norton Juster). He worked on a number of Dr. Seuss films including: How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
