About This Item
New York: Doubleday & McClure Co., 1899. First edition, first issue with last word p.106, "moment." A story of jealousy and greed. Basis for the 1916 silent film of the same name and one in 1924 called "Greed." Also the basis for the more current but very loose adaptation "Slow Burn" (2000). 8vo red cloth stamped in white. Very good to near fine with just subtle toning to spine.
Synopsis
McTeague is an 1899 novel by Frank Norris. The book describes the life of a turn-of-the-century dentist in San Francisco, named McTeague.
