London: Cassell, 1962 First edition. Hardcover book . Green cloth, lettered in gilt to spine, and colour photo-illustrated dustjacket. 369pp. With 44 b&w photos and illustrations in plates, and 5 maps (some folding). The author and her diplomat husband recreated Stanley's famous journey across East Africa to find David Livingstone, and in the process discovered new information about the actual route that he took. Very Good book in Very Good jacket. Clean covers with light spotting to closed edges. Jacket has light rubbing to edges, and a little marking to back.
