Chicago: A.C. McClurg & Co, 1909. First Edition. Octavo. 244p. index, illustrated with 24 photographic images and with a pristine colored folding map. A marvelous book on the early days of the Fur Traders, Sioux, Blackfeet; Custer's last stand, Flathead and Blackfeet Indians as well as that early era with many photographs of territory, Indian leaders as well as Curly, Custer's Scout. Also contains a chapter on ther vigilantes of Montana and the Plummer gang outlaws. A very good copy bound in green pictorial cloth depicting a pink flower with a mountain range in the background, lettering brown and pink, spine lettering brown with one pink flower, corners bumped, and a bump along upper edge of front board. A very nice, clean copy without names, plates, or foxing. [6-guns #1205].
