About This Item
No Binding. Fine. Red and brown ink on buff paper with black and white opaque pigments, depicting a loosely garbed holy man carrying what seems to be a flute. He appears to be gazing skyward while singing. He has long graceful fingers. The head and facial hair are very detailed. The mouth and eyes are highlighted in white. The top border seems to be festooned with representations of clouds. Condition: Possible light toning in spots. Slight wrinkling to the edges where the paper has been laid down. Fiber matting has a very slight appearance of a water stain. Not examined out of the frame. Dimensions: Drawing 4 1/2" inches x 8 inches. Frame 16 1/2 inches x 12 3/4 inches. Weight: 2 pounds
