Small 8vo in sixes, approximately 155 x 95 mm, 6 x 3¾ inches, pages: title page, [1]-230, (which includes solutions to the enigmas, charades, transpositions, and queries), last page errata followed by 6 pages of adverts, bound in full calf, rebacked in lighter leather, stained black at head and tail to try to match covers, gilt title and decoration to spine, gilt decoration to edges of covers, marbled endpapers and edges. Binding rubbed, corners slightly worn, gilt title slightly tarnished, light foxing throughout, slightly heavier on 2 pages, pale stain affecting 6 pages, 3 to inner margins, 2 small brown spots to 2 lower blank margins, neat pencil presentation inscription to top margin of title page, otherwise a very good copy.
