Orono: University of Maine Press, 1991. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 1991 FIRST PRINTING of First Edition. Original green cloth with gilt lettering spine. The book has clean covers, rubbing at spine ends, crease marks to upper corner of about 10 pages, 5 small corrections in red pencil(?) to pages, otherwise no previous owner writing or marks on pages, two small brown spots on blank FFEP, solid binding, no foxing. From the collection of George Wallerstein, a researcher who spent 3 months climbing, exploring, and experimenting on the east Greenland icecap in 1955. The book measures 235mm tall x 155mm and has 208 pages, 16 b/w photos, 2 maps, index. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
