First American edition, published 1895 by Houghton, Mifflin & Company. Yellow cloth with silver title on spine and front board. Hinges are sound, text block is very crisp and clear. Endpapers are very lightly toned. No dust jacket. Pencil note by previous bookseller on free front endpaper. Lower front corner bumped. Lightly soiled boards. Soil to top edge of text block. A very good copy. See photos.
