Publisher's brick red cloth with an embossed blue lion holding a shield on the front cover, blue lettering on spine, blue topstain, map endpapers. Illustrated with b&w reproductions. . Head and heel of spine are lightly rubbed and spine is slightly sunned, faint dust soiling to cover, hinges cracked but holding, 3/4" ink squiggle on rear (map) endpaper, a few faint finger smudges on the edges of the pages, and a small brown food stain on the fore-edge of some pages. VERY GOOD-. . B&W reproductions. . 8vo 8" - 9" tall. xiii, 498 pp .
