Former owner's name in pencil at upper edge of p. 345: Milton C. Stayman. Milton C. Stayman (1835-1910) graduated from Dickinson College in 1856. Published weekly. The final 52 pages contain a one-leaf publication issued separately, The People's Journal -- Annals of Industry. Misbinding: pages 129-154 bound after p. 196. The purpose of The People's Journal was "to deal in an earnest and business-like manner with the Claims of Industry" and to be "a zealous, and . . . an efficient helpmate to the Working Man." -- p.
