A French translation of Lee's "A Phantom Lover" from 1886. Paget was a pacifist, feminist and open lesbian who dressed as a man. She was a British expatriate born in France but who lived most of her life in Italy.

Leipzig: Tauchnitz, 1921. . Tan printed wrappers lettered in black. Some darkening of the spine, a bit of wrinkling to upper corner, a clean very good copy. Issued as Vol. 4545 in Tauchnitz's Collection of British and American Authors. The ads on the back cover are dated Spring 1921. On the spine this is described as "Vernon Lee / 7". Originally published by John Lane in 1908.
