ASSISI: NELLA STAMPERIA VESCOVILE. Rarissima opera, una raccolta di prediche di San Carlo Borromeo raccolte da Luigi Piervissani (1766-1848) nobile assisano e Vescovo di Nocera. Volume ad uso del clero di Nocera edito in occasione del Sinodo Diocesano. Senza data ma del 1822 come indicato alla fine della dedica di Piervissani. Il volume era di proprietà di Nicola Mattei Baldini (1780-1842) Arcivescovo di Montefiascone e Corneto. Noto per aver riconsacrato la cattedrale ricostruita dopo il terremoto del 1799, fu lui a celebrare il sinodo diocesano. Ritratto di San Rinaldo in antiporta, Vescovo e protettore di Nocera. In buone condizioni. Copertina in piena pelle con nome del Baldini ai piatti e decorazioni in oro in buone condizioni con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni. Pagine in buone condizioni con fioriture. ALieve gora al ritratto in antiporta. In 24 cm. 15x8,5. Pp. 189+(1) Very scarce work, a colelction of preeches of San Carlo Borromeo colelcted by Luigi Piervissani (1766-1848) nobleman from Assisi and Byshop of Nocera. Volume for the usasge of clergy of Nocera edited in occasion of Dicoesano Synodus. No dated but of 1822 circa as indicated in the prefation of Piervissani. The volume belonged to Nicola Mattei Baldini (1780-1842) Archicyshop of Montefiascone and Corneto. He was famous because he rebuilt the cathedral after the earthquake and cleebrated the synodus. Portrait of Saint Rinaldo in the frontspice, byshop and protector of Nocera. In good conditions. Leather cover with name of Baldini in the front plate and gilted decorations in good conditions lightly worn in the extremities. Binding in good conditions. Pages in good conditions with foxing.
