London., c1745. Heads of Illustrious Persons of Great Britain. A lovely hand coloured portrait of Queen Anne, engraved after the painting by Godfrey Kneller. Anne's reign as queen lasted twelve years; from 1702-14. She was succeeded by her cousin George I of the German House of Hanover, as she died without any surviving children. Anne was the final Stuart Monarch. Size: 400 x 250 mm. Copperplate engraving with later hand colour. Good condition. Minor staining.
