The text is illustrated with both colour and black-and-white reproductions of sketches and paintings by Queen Victoria. Purple coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, again by Queen Victoria, with red and black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Throughout her life Queen Victoria was a passionate recorder of everything around her in sketches and paintings  this is a selection from throughout her very long life. Rubbing of the book edges with some fading of the extreme edges of the book. Light age toning of the textblock edges and pages with very noticeable foxing of the textblock edges and to the first few and last few pages of the book. Offset tanning to the end pages. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with significant foxing to the front and verso of the dustwrapper. Some chipping to the dustwrapper edges. Sunning is also present to the dustwrapper.
