London: Longmans, Green, and Co., 1888. First Edition. Hardcover. Good+. xx, 308 p. 20 cm. Red cloth hardcover with gold print. Slight spine lean, small marks to covers, corners a little bumped. Pages clean and neat.

Crawford visited Canada as surveyor for the railways as well as the Montreal Waterworks after the great fire. He describes his railway experiences, as well as journeys into the backwoods of Quebec and the Thousand Islands. The book also chronicles his visits to Egypt, Germany, Austria, Turkey, and Algiers.
