Finely bound in signed Sangorski & Sutcliffe binding of full red polished calf, triple gilt rules with devices at corners of covers, the spine sumptuously gilt with crushed morocco labels and gilt lettering, all edges gilt, wide ornate inner gilt dentelles, marbled end papers, ribbon marker. Near Fine, two small rubs to labels, light rubs at joints. A quite lovely copy of this romanticized biography of the 15th century poet. François Villon,. First American Edition. Full Polished Calf . Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
