Philadelphia: H.C. Peck & Theo. Bliss, 1851. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 48mo - over 3 - 4" tall. 191pp. Miniature book measures 2 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches. (1851) Brown cloth, gilt vignette on front cover, gilt lettering and decoration to spine, engraved frontispiece and title page plus 45 )engravings in text. Cover lightly worn, gilt is slightly faded, interior is clean with very little foxing, front free endpaper chipped along edge, binding is sound and book is in very nice condition. The text describes 45 different everyday scenes accompanied by an engraved image of each scene, e.g. "A Winter Scene," "The Farmer and his Son," "The Falls of NIagara," "Skating." etc.
