London: Eyre & Spottiswoode ( Publishers) Limited, 1948. First Edition. Green Cloth. Good Plus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Watkins-Pitchford, Denys; "B.B. 479pp. 1948 A first edition. A good plus copy. No wrapper. Numerous illustrations throughout. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine and a small gitl vignette to the front board. All four board corners bumped or turned in. The spine a little faded with a strip of fading by the spine to the front board. Very short ink gift inscription to the front paste-down. A vertical crease to the half title page - by the spine. Several page corners have been turned. A good plus tight, clean copy.
