About This Item

New York: G. Schirmer, 1896. Very good.. First edition of this positively delightful collection of simple songs for young singers, with charming illustrations for each song in color. Walter Bobbett's illustrations of children owe a great deal to Kate Greenaway aesthetically, but his animals have a personality all their own. 12'' x 9''. Original cloth-backed color pictorial boards. Illustrated in color, with musical notation. 58 pages. Boards with moderate rubbing, a couple spots of soil; light sunning to spine. Front flyleaf with a couple of crayon or colored pencil marks; leaves with light finger soil, spine cracked to some openings. Colors bright.
