The five pop-up double-page scenes are complete and functional, and feature a variety of uniformed British troops in action.
The cover features two Irish Hussars, a cavalry regiment in the British Army. The first pop-up pictures Royal Scots Fusiliers as they were uninformed during the Boar War (1899-1902). The second features New South Wales Lancers from Australia and Irish Hussars. The third pop-up illustrates Lancers, sailors, and Infantry with a field-gun carriage. The fourth illustrates Royal Horse Artillery, Dragoons, and Infantry. The fifth features Indian Soldiers with a British Army Officer in the rear. Hunt 340.
One story titled "On the Warpath" references skirmishes with American Native Americans.
