Galibert ricostruisce la storia algerina dall'antichità sino alla dominazione francese con esaustivi resoconti sulle varie dominazioni che si avvicendarono nel paese nei secoli: romana, vandala, greco-bizantina, araba, turca, francese. L'opera era composta da due volumi siamo in possesso del primo tomo solamente. All'interno sono presenti 34 (su 36) incisioni colorate coeve che mostrano vedute, scene di battaglie, costumi ecc... In buone condizioni. Copertina in mezza pergamena coeva con titolo manoscritto al dorso in buone condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni.
