New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1936. Very Good condition. Endpapers have the usual minor browning along the gutter (slight offset from binder's glue). Otherwise a bright, square, tight copy. NO owner's name or bookplate. NO remainder mark. Pages are clean and crisp. NO underlining. NO highlighting. NO margin notes. First printing with Scribner seal and "A" on the copyright page. Bound in the original salmon-color cloth with goldstamped lettering over black panels on the spine and front cover. Wolfe's memoir of writing his novels LOOK HOMEWARD, ANGEL (1929) and OF TIME AND THE RIVER (1935). Among other things, he describes his close working relationship with editor Maxwell Perkins.
