About This Item
N.Y.: John W. Lovell Company Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Worthington. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Original brown cloth intricately decorated in black on boards. Gilt cover and spine.spine lettering. This is one of seven volumes by the same author from the same previous owner, all in very good condition. In Sunrise, Black gets a lot of content from the Berezowski affair, an attempt to assassinate Tsar Alexander II who was in Paris to atend the World's Fair. One of the big London papers concluded from this novel that Black had a faulty understanding of secret xocieties. At any rate, it seems to me to be an absorbing story. Previous owner's name, with no other writing or damage. Cocked. 430 pp..
