About This Item
University of British Columbia [Vancouver]: Pacific Educational Press, 1991. Soft cover. Fine. Tetrault, Richard. 8vo. Soft cover. 112 pp. B&W illustrations. A few small creases to front cover, ink gift inscription to title page, else fine. This is a story of a fishing boat and the people whose lives she touched. Launched as a Japanese immigrant's dream in 1926, the Suzie A went on to become part of the lives and dreams of Canadians of Norwegian, Yugoslav, and First Nations descent. It is an account in which the racism that has pervaded so much of the history of the West coast plays an important and heart wrenching part.
