The high quality of this volume provides a guide to the world famous Russian miniatjura examples in the Hermitage which represent the aristrocratic classes and the officers as well as beginning with Peter the Great with identifications of the artist where known and the subject. No copies are found in OCLC in American universities.

This is a complete 5-volume set of art history books from Germany (the volumes are written entirely in German) - "Kunstgeschichte in Bildern" (Art History in Pictures) published in 1900 by E.A.
