This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition [stated]. Green cloth binding with titling in gilt on the spine; decorative "Sartre" stamped on the front cover. Clean text; 421 pages. Some light mottling to covers. The dustjacket is complete, unclipped; some wear to the edges, and a 1/4" chip to the head of the spine. In an archival platic protector.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
Synopsis
Troubled Sleep (or La mort dans l'âme, in the original French) is a 1949 novel by Jean-Paul Sartre. The book was originally translated as Iron in the Soul. It is the third part in the trilogy Les chemins de la liberté (The Roads to Freedom).
