In this letter, Taft thanks his correspondent for her congratulations on his appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court, in part: "...I remember your hospitable reception of me when I was your guest in Baltimore, and I hope I may have the pleasure of seeing you and Mr. Stein in the near future. We are going to be nearer neighbors now..." Horizontal and vertical folds; very good condition.<br/><br/>
