New York: Harper & Brothers, 1930. First Edition. Very Good. With 'A-E' on copyright page and no subsequent printings listed. The author's first book. With a fine facsimile dust jackt. Bound in black cloth over boards with teal lettering and lines on front and spine, and a teal publisher's seal on back panel. Rubbing to edges, scuffing to one corner, minor fraying at head of spine, and general rubbing to cloth. Sharp corners, solid binding with a slight inclination to lean. The first four leaves with old chipping to the top right long edge. The interior is clean and clear; free from notations or inscriptions. The remnants of the 'Do Not Break' seal remain attached to the rear free-endpaper with a partial flap of the seal.
