Los Gatos, California: Talisman Press, 1960. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. Near Fine/Good. Newton Baird [title-page]. Signed on the front endpaper "K.U.! Bill Stafford". This copy includes the often missing plain white dust jacket, only printing on the jacket is the price on front flap $2.50. Title page with Mimbres-style blue and orange leaping fish is complemented by the Salmon colored wrappers and the printed paper label with the same fish design in green and black pasted on front cover, one of 100 copies in wrappers, Pirie A3. Nice clean unmarked copy, would be fine except for a small paper abrasion to the upper corner of front endpaper from an eraser. Dust jacket spine tanned, a few soiled spots and short edge tear at head of spine. Stafford's first book of poems. Photos on request.
