About This Item
1927. Western Union Telegram. Dated: Oct 16 1927. To silent film star Carmel Myers from the great composer of light operetta Rudolph Friml. "Miss Carmel Myers. Ambassador Hotel. Darling we shall not go to Ziegfeld today because I am taking a rest at Berkeley Cartaret at Asbury Park wish you could drive in today is a real California day with all my love always. Rudolph Friml." Telegram somewhat browned with age, with a few creases & small edge chips. A few of Friml's greatest successes are "Rose-Marie", "The Vagabond King" & "The Zeigfeld Follies of 1921 & 23." .
