Green cloth over beveled boards, pictorially stamped and titled in gilt, silver and black, rubbing to extremities and foxing to prelims and occasionally other pages, gift inscription dated 1883, but overall clean and bright. A long poem relating the tragic high tide that surged up the river Lindis, breaking the sea wall and flooding the town of Boston (England) and the surrounding countryside. Illustrated with engravings after the artwork of Frederick Stuart Church, Harry Fenn, William Allen Rogers, J Francis Murphy, John Douglas Woodward, William St John Harper, J Appleton Brown, F B Schell, W F Halsall, W L Taylor and F.
