Washington D. C.: National Aeronautics and Space Administration, 1971. Astronaut Autograph with Provenance. A veteran of two shuttle missions, Bruce McCandless was the first U. S. astronaut to have an untethered "spacewalk" during which he reportedly said to his wife who was at Mission Control, "It may have been a small step for Neil, but it's a heck of a big leap for me." SIGNED and inscribed, "With best wishes to Lee Saegesser. Bruce McCandless II NASA astronaut." Provenance: from the collection of Lee Saegesser, Chief Archivist from 1967 until 1997 in the Washington, DC NASA Headquarters History Office. Certificate of Authenticity available if desired. Signed black and white internal NASA photos are much more scarce than the signed color lithos that normally are offered for sale. The photograph is clean, bright, and unwrinkled.. SIGNED.
