Dedic, acknowl, list of maps, prologue, intro, nine chaps from stateside to the end of the war in Europe; three epilogues (e.g., later years' observations), four appendices (e.g., bayonet drill, letters and reports), glossary, index. Condition notes: an excellent, clean, tight, square copy, inscribed by the author on the title page to a former owner. Light wear/rubbing to dj. Else interior unmarked. St. Paul, Minnesota native Devitt saw action as a 'shavetail' (i.e. newly minted lieutenant) in the Huertgen Forest and Ardennes/Battle of the Bulge, among others. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
