Spine ruled in 6 compartments. Gilt decoration across the bands. Blind decoration in the panels. Title and author labels in brown calf. All edges trimmed. Grey matching endpapers. A bit of foxing more pronounced in the later stages of each volume. Very interesting binder's ticket in each volume. 7 plates, 2 maps (1 fold). Bookmark bound in each volume. Hand tied head bands. A very attractive binding and in excellent condition overall. AB 3472. "Abridged and revised edition of the English translation of 1767, with added material". Getting more difficult to find a nice clean copy like this. 1820
