About This Item

Norwalk, CT: The Heritage Press. Very Good+ in Very Good dust jacket. c. 1976. Hardcover. Selected and Introduction by Carl Van Doren. Original gray cloth publisher's covers with silver spine lettering and black line illustration of Lincoln encased in a cream-colored slipcase. The Sandglass 4 page pamphlet is loosely laid in. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates (there is a very slight crease to the spine toward the top edge which is not particularly objectionable). The slipcase is also in nice condition with no tears or splits (there is a little sunning to the top portion of one side). The Heritage Press imprint indicates that it was published in 1970; however, the Norwalk place of publication means that it was published sometime between 1976 and 1983. ; B&W Illustrations; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 294 pages .
