With 121 full page and in-text illustrations by the author. Bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe in full deep dark blue morocco with marbled endpapers, t.e.g., the spine with gilt titles and panel ornamentation, the covers with a simple border rule and a small repeating geometric rule, simple dentelles. The gothic story of a tone-deaf Irish artist's model with whom all the male characters were in love. Trilby became a world-class singer whenever she performed under the spell of the mesmerist Svengali.
