Page measures 17.75" x 12.5".<br/><br/> This poster advertisement was for Mark Twain's (anonymous) novel "Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc, by the Sieur Louis de Conte" published in Harper's Magazine. Harper's New Monthly Magazine began in June 1850 and continues its reputation for fine and original writing. Edward Penfield (1866-1925), an artist who lived and worked in New York City. Known as the "originator of the poster in America", Penfield designed for Harper's in the 18790's and his work is still highly collectible and sought after. Very minor wear to edges.<br/><br/>
