Herbert Jenkins, London, 1961. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition (ex-library)/Good. Illustrator: Photographic. foreword by author, list of photographs. The text is illustrated with 11 pages of black and white photography. Black coloured cloth covered boards with built titles to the backstrip. Blue coloured tint to the top textblock edge. Illustrated dustwrapper with purple and white coloured title of the front panel and backstrip. Five trials in England with all five defendants being doctors. Cases include Dr. Smethurst, Dr. Pritchard, Dr. Lamson, Dr. Crippen and Dr. Ruxton. Softening of the backstrip edge and very light browning of the textblock edges and internal text. This book is annexed library copy (Police College Library ) and has had stamps placed throughout. Chipping it to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Heavy rubbing of the dustwrapper panels and Faint browning to the rear dustwrapper panel. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. There is a library marking to the lower edge of the backstrip. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. (8), 9-192 pages,. Dust Jacket price-clipped. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
